Friends of DCM Sheltered Housing

Dublin Central Mission (DCM) , part of the social arm of the Methodist Church, operates two Sheltered Housing Complexes for persons over the age of 65 years. These are Margaretholme in Sandymount (c.40 residents) and Ailt an Óir in Glenageary (c.48 residents). All residents enjoy the benefits of:

What is the Purpose of “The Friends” ?

To organise support, for example by:

Fund-raising events, the proceeds used solely for the benefit of residents.
Coffee Mornings
Open Days

How does “The Friends” operate?

A voluntary group operating independently of DCM Management structures.
The Director of Sheltered Housing in DCM is the link person to the Friends’ Committee.
All events are run strictly in accordance with DCM ethos and policies.
Subscribers will also receive the “Friends’ Newsletter” with information on what has been
happening in Margaretholme and Ailt an Óir, as well as information about future events.
